I’m not talking Rock n Roll either! Take a look at these musical rockers from Happy Mothers. The first one has a xylophone and mallet built right in.
It’s a colorful addition to any decor and suitable for boys or girls ages 3-6.
One consideration is the xylophone is built into the right hand side of the rocker so if your’s is a lefty, you may want to think twice. As a lefty myself, I don’t think it’s a big deal as we learn early on to adapt to a right hand world. If you doubt this all all take a poll. Ask several left-handed friends how much they use their right hand. You’re likely to discover many of them are nearly ambidexterous!
Music is conisdered one of the most important elements to help your child learn and grow mentally. It will provide hours of fun for your little one.

It’s wise to try to save money. Babies grow fast and constantly evade our most carefully considered plans. My sister-in-law recently gave birth to their first child. It weighed in at a whopping 9 pounds 6 ounces. As most newborns outgrow newborn things at about 11 pounds, he’ll be in the next size a as little as a couple of weeks! So much for being prepared. I once read a story about a family with six kids. The new parents would rush their first child to the Emergency Room if he got the sniffles. By the time the 6th baby swallowed a dime, the father looked her straight in the eye and said “THAT’S coming out of your allowance!”After you’ve had a few children (I’m NOT telling), you get a sense of what you need and what you don’t. Here are some things I wished someone had told ME what the well-supplied newborn needs before leaving the hospital. Read the rest of this entry »

Knitting Hearts
by C. Havens
As soon as my tiny, chunky fingers could grasp a crochet hook my grandmother set about to teach me to crochet.
By age six, I was threading needles for her eyes because she couldn’t poke thread through the eye any more.
When I was eight, I remember by mother dedicating her all her “spare” time to sewing a new spring wardrobe for me. Read the rest of this entry »
